It’s that time of year again. The time of year where we woefully look at the cars in our garage and suddenly we think we need an upgrade because we just witnessed the newest crop of automobile excellency at the Chicago Auto Show. All throughout the week drool worthy vehicles line the McCormick Place enticing the appetites of any and every type of car fanatic.

However, for one night the world’s of automobile fanatics and foodies collide with the Chicago Auto Show’s First Look for Charity. The elegant black tie affair hosts over 1000 of Chicago’s finest year after year and benefits up to 18 charities. Whether one is a car fanatic or not, the goal of first look for charity is to experience the best of what the auto show has to offer. From test rides, food tasting stations, and a night of giveaways, First Look for Charity is the best way to experience Chicago’s most popular event.

For the evening of extravagance, guests peruse the ginormous McCormick Place venue and delight in a series of delectable bites, goodies, and experiences fit for a night to remember. For the culinary selections Catered by Design created an elaborate floating display featuring sips of lobster bisque and soups topped with grilled cheese. For dessert, guests retreated to Andy’s Frozen Custard where there was a full sundae bar complete with a wide assortment of toppings. From the sweet to the savory, 25 of Chicago’s finest culinary masters brought their best selections to delight the palate.

While noshing from some of Chicago’s finest cuisine, party goers also got a sneak preview at the latest crop of vehicles. Of course the biggest crowd pleaser were the ever impressive choice of luxury vehicles from Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Maserati, and Bugatti. Select vehicles were available for preview with the dapper dressed guests taking plenty of selfies in the vehicles. Unless one is a millionaire, it’s not too often one can sit in a car worth $250,000. Many of the guests took advantage of this rare opportunity to literally sit in the lap of luxury.

However, if one wanted to take their auto show experience to the next level, gala attendees were able to enter their ticket stubs in a raffle. The prize? Brand new vehicles that are sure to make you the envy of your neighborhood. Two lucky winners took home the grand prize of the Lincoln MKX and the Dodge Renegade. Pretty cool that one is able to attend a gala then walk away with a brand new car.

To make sure all the guests were comfortable while traversing the massive space, Cadillac came to the rescue and provided all the women some relief from their stilettos with some slippers. Needless to say, about 1 hour into the event all the women chose to don their new fancy Cadillac slippers.
