Located on the second floor sprawled across the ladies shoe salon was the ultimate celebration of shoes. As soon as guests walked into this shoe haven, guests were treated to an exclusive preview of the latest collections from designers Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Laurence Dacade, and Rene Caovilla.

Neiman Marcus is not one to not bring a gift to the party. In addition to supplying guests with lovely shoes, guests were treated to glasses of champagne and decadent treats such as chocolate candies and macarons courtesy of More Cupcake Company and Sugar Bliss Cake Boutique. Servers also moved about the space as they served shoe lovers with delectable bites from Neiman Marcus’s Mariposa. Guests posed for photographs for CS Modern Luxury as they whipped out their phones taking pictures of all of the gorgeous shoes.
One Instagrammable moment was the Manolo Blahnik Cake designed by Elysia Root Cakes. This cake left no detail unnoticed as it featured an embellished shoe design complete with a detailed shoe box. I had to do a double-take as I didn’t notice at first that this gorgeous shoe was indeed a cake. A satisfied sweet tooth with a glass of bubbly in hand was a great way to begin the shopping extravaganza.

With Spring just around the corner, it is time to trade our salt ruined winter boots for some sky high stilettos and strappy sandals. As guests perused the shoe salon while sipping on their glasses of champagne while enjoying the sounds of DJ Lani Love, everything was tried on from sandals, gravity-defying heels, and decorative flats. And since we are in Chicago, some guests didn’t let this recent bout of warm weather fool them as I saw quite a few trying on some boots.
Another shoe lover was shopping for a unique occasion as she was looking for the perfect shoe for prom. She selected the Pantinana Strass which featured a nude illusion with rhinestone embellishments. One thing is for sure, this shoe lover will certainly have the best heels at prom leaving everyone in envy.

Shoes were being tried on left and right as boxes were scattered throughout the space. I even joined in on all the fun as I tried on the Christian Louboutin Degraspike leather studded heels. I went to try on the Pigalle’s which I had been longing for, for quite some time, but unfortunately they were sold out. Apparently this classic cut shoe is a favorite, and it frequently sells out. Better luck next time.

While all of the collections were getting some wears from the guests, there was one recognizable box that was being paraded across the salon floor and that was none other than the sandy brown Christian Louboutin box. From the 2015 collection, one shoe was the favorite of the night and that was the Front Double Multicolor PVC Pump. It rarely stayed on display as guests continuously asked to try on this beauty.
As evident through the beaming smiles from guests and the happy swipes of the charge card, I think it’s safe to say that Neiman Marcus’s Shoe Bash was quite the success. Shoe Bash is an annual event so be sure not to miss the next one!
