Join the Chicago Cultural Alliance on Thursday May 26th from 5:30-7:00 PM for an intimate conversation on fashion and heritage in the global age. The event will take place on the 5th floor Harold Washington Room.
This in-depth discussion will feature famed Chicago fashion designer Maria Pinto who has dressed stars from Oprah to Michelle Obama. Ethiopian and western influenced designer Tsega Mengistu will also join the discussion along with Katrin Schnabl whose collection M2057 was featured in EMPIRE. The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Alaka Wali who is a curator at the Chicago Field Museum and Vice President of the CCA Board of Directors.
