Black Composer Speaks Residency: Exhortation

Celebrate the achievements and works of black composers with Fulcrum Point. On February 10th guests will be able to witness three generations of artists ranging from impressionistic pop to jazz-improv.

Renowned composer Tomeka Reid will be bringing these diverse stylings to life with a world premiere composition.

The evening will end with a set of free-jazz improv led by the legendary Kahil El’ Zabar and his Ethnic Heritage Ensemble. A roundtable discussion on inclusion and access in new art music will follow the concert.
