To celebrate the late Spring issue, cover star Sophia Bush mixed and mingled with over 250 of Chicago’s finest. This lavish affair took place at the chic and posh Godfrey Hotel. While the rooftop wasn’t open due to the blustery cold air, the spectacular skylight still provided magnificent views of the city. The Godfrey Hotel served as the absolute perfect setting for an urban escape.
Guests toasted the star of the evening, Sophia Bush, by sipping on refreshing glasses of Champagne Le Medaillon. They nibbled on lite savory bites of various dishes. And as the night progressed party goers spiced things up with Casa Noble Tequila.
The savory dishes and refreshing drinks was a great warm up for the night ahead. As guests enjoyed the offerings of the party, they eagerly awaited the arrival of the beautiful cover star, Sophia Bush. Making the party goers presence all the more worthwhile, Sophia made quite the entrance as she donned a stylish Elizabeth & James dress perfectly paired with strappy Stuart Weitzman heels. This was certainly a departure from her police uniform on Chicago PD.
While the weather didn’t give Sophia the warmest welcome, the California native is more than proud to call Chicago her second home. As the star of the NBC Dick Wolf drama Chicago PD, Sophia regularly ventures out into the city hitting up many famous Chicago hotspots.
One thing that everyone raves about when visiting Chicago is the impressive dining scene. In her interview with actress Mariska Hargitay in Michigan Avenue Magazine, Sophia shared a few of her favorite Chicago grubbing spots that she’s had the pleasure of visiting while filming for the Chicago PD series. With Mariska she shares that “There’s a really amazing place downtown called The Purple Pig, and I just had this the other day for the first time: They do a pork that tastes like it’s bourbon-glazed. It’s insanely delicious. There’s a great Asian-fusion restaurant that just opened called Momotaro that’s phenomenal. Au Cheval has the best burger I’ve ever had. There’s a great shop in Wicker Park called Antique Taco that is off-the-chain delicious” Based on her recommendations, Sophia has become quite acclimated to the Chicago dining scene.
As the star longs for the warm summer days of a Chicago Summer, one thing she is looking forward to visiting is the much raved about Randolph Street Market. Sophia shares to Mariska that it’s reminiscent of her California days in that “it reminds me of the Rose Bowl or the Long Beach Flea Market—amazing antique jewelry, vintage furniture, incredible food”

Sophia Bush was warm and gracious the entire night as she happily posed with fans making it a night to remember. If you missed Sophia at the party, you can catch the star on NBC’s hit drama Chicago PD Wednesdays 9 pm central time.
